Reimagining Our Creative Future

Reimagining Our Creative Future

AI is changing everything for us, creative workers.

And if I'm being honest? It's terrifying.

Many of us have built long careers on skills that it seems AI can now replicate in seconds.

No wonder there is some anxiety brewing.

I'm there with you if that is you.

Remember when having industry knowledge and high-end gear protected our work? Are those days rapidly disappearing?

Well, at minimum, the creative landscape is shifting, and the advantages that once protected our work seem to be eroding.

So what do we do now?

That's what the next few weekly emails are about:

Recalibrating our position and finding new ways to deliver exceptional value as creatives.

For today, I want to acknowledge something important: feeling overwhelmed is OK.

The pace of change is ridiculous, and nobody has it all figured out.

No one talking in absolutes about the future of AI has it sorted.

Even though many look like they are on top of it.

But here's the first thing to think about:

With every industry change comes incredible opportunity, and creative workers who learn and adapt will thrive in this new world.

I don't want us to struggle.

Over the next few weeks, I will summarise my observations and offer practical steps to position ourselves for success in this AI-assisted future. After all, this email newsletter is about us in the creative industry, thinking deeply about what we do, creating exceptional work and building our businesses together.

So next, we'll discuss the democratisation problem, how AI is removing the barriers that once protected our work, and the massive opportunity this also creates for us as seasoned pros.

For today, I'd like to ask one question:

What's your biggest fear about AI and creative work?

Hit reply and let me know. I read every response, and it helps me tailor this series.

See you next week.
